Corporations & Institutions
Our customers are corporations, public & private institutions, and government agencies seeking long-term and cost-competitive energy contracts.
Our Abilities
Teichos Energy is a solar developer with a diverse and extended experience in the power industry. Members of the team have collectively developed over 700MW in operating wind, solar, and geothermal projects that provide energy to various off-takers. Our customers are corporations, public & private institutions, and government agencies actively seeking long-term fixed price energy contracts and the associated renewable energy attributes.
Our Process
A corporate or institutional Direct Power Purchase Agreement is a vehicle that allows a non-utility entity to buy power directly from the renewable energy generator located off-site of their facility. These PPAs will help a corporation achieve their sustainability goals while facilitating new renewable energy generation through a contract containing a firm price per kWh with an annual escalator providing price certainty.
Cost Driven Development
There is a revolution taking place in the power markets driven by new low cost generation technologies, market forces putting a price on environmental impacts, and the need to lock in long term secure pricing as a hedge against fuel based pricing volatility.
“The primary motivation behind renewable PPAs is economic, with green/ sustainable advantages as a runner up. Some 60 percent of survey corporates exploring renewable PPAs cited economic factors as their primary reason for doing so while 30 percent cited environmental.”
– Baker McKenzie

About Us
Our diverse and extended experience in the power industry enables us to realize energy projects at low cost.
Mission
To grow a profitable business developing large-scale photo-voltaic solar generation projects that provides renewable energy resources to public and private institutions across the USA. Develop, construct, own, and operate a diverse national portfolio of utility-scale energy projects.
Team
Over the past 23 years, many of the 13-person Teichos team worked together, first at Ridgeline Energy, one of the first wind development companies in the US, then at Veolia which acquired Ridgeline in 2008. In 2012 the team came together again to form Teichos Energy with a focus of developing utility-scale solar. During that 23+ year history our team members originated and developed more than 700 MW of solar projects and over 400 MW of wind farms. In addition, the Teichos team has collectively over 200 years of power industry experience, including developing geothermal and conventional thermal generation. This in-house expertise and the utilization of proprietary processes allow for low-cost analysis, efficient engineering design, and value optimized project financing. The depth and breadth of the team allows Teichos to act dynamically in a rapidly growing market and offer low-cost clean energy.
